On October 5, 2008 teachers,
support staff, administrators, students, and community members of the
Wayne Central School District participated in the American Cancer
Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk at Frontier Field in
Rochester. Over 75 people on team "Wayne Central" made it to the
event and walked 2.5 miles through downtown Rochester on a warm Sunday
morning. Jason Carter was the Team Leader for staff for the second
year in a row. Altogether the team raised several thousand dollars
in support of this worthy cause. Money raised from this event is
used locally for programs like "Reach to Recovery" which matches
patients up with survivors for support, as well as funds cancer
research. Click on the photos
